Why we created the Sustainable Growth Partnership
Charities and social enterprises are a vital lifeline for the people who most need them. As charity leaders ourselves, we have lived through the post-covid years and share the challenges and experience of those we now support.
We created the Sustainable Growth Partnership to walk alongside leaders facing financial pressures: to act as a critical friend, to help them see where they really stand, and to build with them a more resilient future for the work that is so needed in their communities.
How we think about growth
Sustainable growth is not growth for its own sake. Sometimes our clients must contract or consolidate before they are ready for growth. These beliefs shape how we work.
Profit supports purpose
Financial sustainability is not in tension with mission, it’s what protects it. Organisations that are financially strong can do more for the communities they serve.
Growth should not compromise wellbeing
Leaders cannot sustain their organisations if they’re running on empty. Resilience, peer connection and support matter as much as strategy. We work with the person as well as the plan.
Clarity reduces overwhelm
Much of the pressure leaders carry comes from too many competing priorities. When the real choices are clear, the work becomes easier to lead.
